This image shows the Red Arrows arriving in Kuwait, signalling their arrival with white smoke for a flypast over the citya. For the 50th anniversary of the Red Arrows the Team embarked on a Middle East Tour, visiting several countries including Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and the UAE.
This image was a winner in the 2014 Royal Air Force Photographic Competition.

The Royal Air Force's famous Red Arrows soar over Type 45 destroyer HMS Duncan moored at Brittania Quay in Cardiff during the Nato Summit held there this month.The aerobatic display team were part of a flypast fo Nato aircraft over the Celtic Manor site hosting the summit.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, The Red Arrows, is one of the world's premier aerobatic display teams.
Representing the speed, agility and precision of the Royal Air Force, the Team is the public face of the service.
They assist in recruiting, contribute to Defence Diplomacy when displaying overseas and act as ambassadors for the United Kingdom.
The Red Arrows also promote the Best of British, supporting industry and demonstrating the capabilities of the nation's equipment and engineering expertise.

The Royal Air Force Aerobatics Team (RAFAT), The Red Arrows and their support team for the 2014 display season line up in front of one of their Hawk aircraft at RAF Scampton.
The support staff also known as 'The Blues' is made up of a Team Manager, a Road Manager (also known as Red 10), a Public Relations Manager and Public Relations Officer (the only two civilians on the Team), two Engineering Officers, an Adjutant and approximately 85 engineering technicians and other support staff.
The latter are known as ‘The Blues’ because they wear distinctive royal blue flying suits during the display season. The Blues represent nine out of the Royal Air Force’s broad range of more than 65 technical and non-technical trades.
Every team member has undergone intensive training in their particular specialisation throughout their Royal Air Force career.

The new tail design to celebrate the Red Arrows display team 50th Anniversary lies under a huge Union Flag prior to its unveiling at RAF Scampton.
The makeover is the most significant change to the look of the Team’s famous aircraft in its history.
In the shape of a Union flag, the striking new tail design reflects the Best of British and emphasises the Red Arrows’ role as ambassadors for the United Kingdom and as the public face of the Royal Air Force.
