Remembrance Day poppies lay on a soldier's kit at Camp Bastion in Afghanistan.

On the 11th November of each year, the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth countries remember the servicemen and women who have given their lives for their country during conflict.

The poppy is the symbol of Remembrance in the UK. Each year millions of pounds are raised by the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal for different Forces welfare projects.
