The Netherlands - Sint Jansklooster
Afternoon atmosphere around the water tower in the village Sint Jansklooster, a 45,5 m. high landmark at the edge of -and with a view on- nature reserve National Park Weerribben-Wieden. This monument (1931) lost its original function and was restored about ten years ago. From 2014 it serves as a watchtower on behalf of Natuurmonumenten, the manager of the nearby nature reserve. The tower appears to contain a spectacular Harry Potter-like stairways gallery. Image made with kite and camera (attached to the kite's line). © Tom Kisjes

The Netherlands - Overijssel
Weerribben-Wieden National Park is a Dutch national park in the Overijssel province. The park consists of two parts -Weerribben and Wieden- with a total area of roughly 100 square kilometres (39 sq mi). It includes the largest bog of Northwestern Europe. The vegetation and wildlife are typical for such an area, full of peat and water. Resident species include Water soldier, Sundew, Black tern, Bittern and, recently, the otter. In addition, the butterfly Large Copper is found here. Large parts of the area were used for peat production until the Second World War. Since then a part of the area has been used for thatching reed production, nowadays about 1,000 hectares (2,500 acres). This image, made with kite and camera attached to the kite's line, was made in the neighborhood of the villages Ossenzijl and Kalenberg, making use of a few sunny spells. © Tom Kisjes
