The Netherlands - Heemskerk
Mosses often stand out and thrive in wintertime and early spring, when there is little competitio for sunlight from leafless trees and plants This moss species can be found in many different kinds of habitat and prefers quite enriched places. This specimen was seen in a forested area of the North-Holland Dune Reserve, near Heemskerk. In my country (The Netherlands) very common. © Tom Kisjes
