The Netherlands - Zandvoort
After the destruction of the old water tower in 1943 by the German occupiers, a new one arose between 1949 and 1951 and became a 48 meter high landmark, close to the North Sea coast. But for some time the structural condition of the tower turned out to be poor and worsened after a fire in 2001. Therefore a major renovation is planned, involving a whole new exterior and apartments as well as a penthouse inside. Also, new building will take place on the square in front of the tower. Enough reason to immortalize this monument in its current state. Image made with a kite and a camera attached to the kite's line. © Tom Kisjes
