The village Uitdam lies in the Waterland district. On the eastern side (left) it is protected by a dyke against the fresh water of lake Marken, once a treacherous salt water inland sea called Zuiderzee. On the west side (right) Uitdam is flanked by lake Uitdammer Die. Amsterdam is visible in the background. Early morning image, made with kite and camera (attached to the kite's line).
