Morning view on the so called Hembrug site, a former arms- and ammunition plant in Zaanstad, situated on the banks of the North Sea Canal. During the First World War 8.500 people earned a living here. After the world wars the factory also produced a.o. car parts and agricultural machines. It was closed in 2003. Most buildings here are industrial monuments now and are used for (totally) other purposes. © Tom Kisjes
