Exploring the vegetation of the Kalverpolder. Striking yellow colour caused by Golden buttons (Cotula coronopifolia). Native to southern Africa, but quite recently introduced to many (coastal) regions of the world (The Netherlands: 1972). The species has a preference for muddy wetlands and brackish water.
