First offf, photographing Sarah was a blast, but I wish I'd met her a year later, once I had a digital camera in my kit. Oh, back then I was happy to use Polaroid and medium format, but going back to this day, I've only got, what, a dozen images? I want more! I want to have photographed her without limitation!
Back then I scoffed at the ease and bounty of digital cameras. But I was young! I didn't know any better! Mine was a false god! It bugs the shit out of me that these are the only photographs of Sarah I have, that the other opportunities to photograph her I was either all out of space on my memory card or too exhausted to head over to her side of town.
Say yes to everything! Do things despite exhaustion! Carry extra memory cards, if possible! They were expensive, back then!

Located in the outskirts of Amsterdam (IJburg), this architectural gemstone is an amazing place to look at. The residential complex - entitled Sluishuis (Dutch for sluice house) has a very engaging design by BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) and Barcode Architects. Built like an angular ring, partly hovering above the water and with a courtyard accessible from the mainland and by boat from the water. In this hyper symmetric view you can see the water entrance, standing in the courtyard.
