I found this superbly colourful mural called 'Just kids' by Bicicleta Sem Freio (Bicycles without brakes') just off Brick Lane in London. I waited for a while to take a series of shots of people walking past, this is one of my favourites as it highlights a clash of cultures (or two cultures living harmoniously depending on your viewpoint......).
I've more Oxford shots to upload but I thought I'd upload this shot taken last weekend as I'm off to London again later today for the 2nd Photo 24 London photowalk.

I really like this piece by the Street Artist Stik found just tucked round the corner of the junction of Brick Lane and Princelet Street. Next time I'm up in London I'll have to track down more of these wonderfully expressive figures. To me this one says so much with such an efficiency of line.

A change of pace after my photos of my trip to Turkey, this is the first of a series of photos taken in the Brick Lane area of London back in the Summer. I try and get up there occasionally to see the amazing street art, this fantastical creation, Octo Ele by Alexis Diaz (one half of La Pandilla), was one of my favourites.

Most street art competes for your attention sometimes due to scale, sometimes due to the colours and sometimes due to the content. This miniature Superman found just off Brick Lane could've been easily walked past and that's one of the reasons I found it so appealing. I've no idea who this piece is by so if anyone out there knows then I'll be able to credit the artist.

For one of the nights of our 10th Anniversary trip to London we stayed at 'The Hoxton' ( very nice and great value for money) which gave us a great opportunity to discover a little corner of London I've not previously visited. Not big on traditional 'sights' the area is full of great street art (or as some people might consider it, mindless vandalism) such as the exterior of the Red Gallery by Eine seen here.
