Another from a shoot last weekend with model Gabriella Knight in a field of barley in the Cotswolds. I've not had a shoot like this for a while (I wonder why.....) so I jumped at a last minute chance to join a group shoot organised by Bourton-on-the-Water based Alastair Currill Photography.
Gabriella (and you too.....) would probably consider this an outtake as I'd caught her between 'poses'. Of course that's one of the main reasaons I like it, it has a sense of spontaniety about it that some of the other shots lack. As a result I've given it a grainy monochrome look rather than a 'polished' look I've given some of the others.

Towards the end of the evening we switched from reflectors to portable flashes but I'm not as keen on these shots as they're clearly artificial looking. This was probably one of the better ones......

If you thought my previous upload had taken the saturation too far I'm guessing you're not going to be a fan of this one either....... Would you believe me if I said I'd barely tweaked the colours........ My camera has two card slots so on one I store RAW files, on the other I store JPGs. This is the JPG which was shot with a cloudy white balance for additional 'warmth' and the colours are pretty much straight out of the camera with just some additional contrast added to combat the flare from the setting sun which was just out of shot.
It'll be interesting now to process the RAW file and see how much the colours differ.

The weather throughout the day had looked dodgy but luckily early evening the sun made an appearance and we got some great shots. About ten minutes after this was taken a thunderstorm broke though and we had to go running to our cars.......

Another alternative version of my previous upload (the last I promise.....). I know Gabriella prefers the colourful version and some flickr people agreed with her when I posted it yesterday.
Over on my Facebook page most people preferred the more 'natural' version when I posted all three earlier this week. I'm interested to know which version people prefer before I go ahead and process more of the images. Any takers for this sepia / slight duotone version ?
