A cropped (and flipped) version of my previously uploaded night time portrait of alternative model 'Paula of Sweden'. General consensus (i.e. me and John Kortland) thought it would be better more tightly cropped.
The event was my first attempt at 'light-tube' photography but as it was taken at a recent LightpaintersUK meetup it proved easy as the organisers are very knowledgeable and experienced. They also provided the expensive kit included the Pixelstick used for this shot.......

A New Year but I'll be continuing to upload some of the best shots I took at last Augusts LightpaintersUK London meetup at Shadwell Basin.
Here several of the models and fire performers pose in front of Lilith Lixx ( @lilith_lixx ) spinning burning wire wool. From left to right it's Rae ( @landraever ), Graham Hearn ( @GWHearn } and Layna ( @polaroid_layna ). Looks a bit like they've just stepped through a wormhole from a parallel universe.......
Looking forward to participating in more of these events during 2022 as they usually provide something a bit different for my photostream.

Ending the year with some of the best shots I took at the August LightpaintersUK meetup at Shadwell Basin in London.
Here, one of the organisers, Dominic Medway, demonstrated (detonated) a pretty impressive smoke grenade. Not one to try at home (unless you want to redecorate your lounge neon pink.......) and definitely best done with people that know what they're doing.......

Having finished uploading my Soho shots from before Christmas, here's something a bit different........
This is a shot of model 'Paula of Sweden' at a recent LightpaintersUK meetup at Shadwell Basin in London. When we met up it was still too light so to start we took some portraits including a series with a burning newspaper which I've dubbed 'Hot off the Press'........
Paula may look a bit 'scary', largely thanks to all the tattoos, but she turned out to be a patient and lovely model who, as you can see here, was willing to try some strange things.
