Iceland from the air thanks to an unusually clean Easyjet plane window on our flight into Reykjavik...... I'm guessing this is some kind of volcanic crater but in such a featureless snow covered landscape it was quite hard to judge the scale.

This shot may look like it was taken from the edge of space given the slight curve on the horizon but actually I was just flying economy from Los Angeles to London.
Taken somewhere over Arizona (or maybe Utah / Nevada) conditions for shots out of the window were amongst the best I've ever seen, presumably because the desert air is so clear and dry.

Your virtual trip to Copenhagen has now come to an end, with just the view from the window seat left. I think for what was only four days in Copenhagen I can be pretty proud of my photographic haul....
Surprisingly the cheapest flight I could get between London and Copenhagen was actually with Norwegian Airlines. A few of the other budget airlines looked cheaper unto I added in luggage, a seat, air to breathe etc then they ended up being significantly more expensive.
By co-incidence I heard today the Government is going to ban outrageous fees for credit and debit card online transactions. That's the good news. Bad news is everything will be going up by exactly the same amount when that comes into force next year.......

Before setting off for Iceland the weather forecast had given me the impression we were in for four days of overcast weather so I was pleasantly surprised to have such good conditions to shoot from the plane window as we started our descent into Reykjavik.
Not that I've a whole load of shots from airplane windows but I've started an album for them : www.flickr.com/photos/darrellg/sets/72157651786524706

I don't often get to have the window seat anymore as my daughters usually insist on it but being a dedicated photo trip I had that 'luxury' to myself. I noticed that for quite a while a smaller plane seemed to be following us (or at least flying parallel) and I saw an opportunity to make a shot that conveyed something of the vastness of the skies. Not the most exciting looking thumbnail, and it does look a bit like yellow snow but I rather like this.
