When we booked our Summer holiday to the Paloma Club Sultan hotel in Ozdere, Turkey I remember hoping I'd get some shots like this of the infinity pool. I'd say things turned out nicely.......
These are some of the first shots I took with my new Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 and I think the increase in quality over my previous 70-300mm lens is considerable.

Yesterdays candid shot of this glamorous student photographer received over a hundred views but only one comment.... I think I prefer this one as the shadow adds a second element making a more interesting composition.

During my trip to Florence earlier last year everywhere I went I was struck by how many people were taking selfes. To me they combine unflattering self portraits with badly composed views of famous landmarks but each to their own I suppose......
I thought they might make a good subject for a new project so more to follow at some point.

The more observant amongst you will have spotted this wasn't taken with my trusty Nikon D300s, it was taken with a Coolpix S30. It's actually a cheap waterproof, shockproof compact camera bought for the poolside on our Summer holidays. This was the first time I'd used it and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality.
