Not quite sure which of the Millennium Domes Zones this photo of a ramp was taken in. This kind of architecture / lighting is quite common now so at the time it must have been a bit ahead of its time.
Update : Thanks to Sminky I've done some digging and I think I'm right in saying it's the Mind Zone, and that it was indeed by Architect Zaha Hadid (six years before the Maggies Cancer Care Centre in Kirkcaldy, her first permanent building in the UK).

If someone can remember just which of the Millennium Domes Zones this is then let me know. The architecture reminds me somewhat of Rem Koolhaas or Zaha Hadid.

I found the Zaha Hadid designed London 2012 Aquatics Centre the hardest building by far to photograph. Being located right next to the Stratford entrance it was surrounded by temporary tents for security etc and the stands which increase the capacity of the venue from 2500 to 17500 are seriously ugly in my opinion. They obviously know this as they've delayed entering the building for the Stirling Prize until the stands have been removed.

From Wikipedia : "The London Aquatics Centre is an indoor facility with two 50-metre (160-foot) swimming pools and a 25-metre (82-foot) diving pool in Olympic Park at Stratford, London, it was one of the main venues of the 2012 Summer Olympics and the 2012 Summer Paralympics. The centre was used for the swimming, diving and synchronised swimming events. After significant modification the centre is due to open to the public in 2014."

I'm not particularly happy with any of the shots I took of the Zaha Hadid designed Aquatics centre, from every angle I tried 'stuff' (a technical term.....) kept getting in the way, not the least of which were the oversized temporary wings holding the majority of the seating.

From Wikipedia : "The complex has a 50m competition pool, a 25m competition diving pool and a 50m warm-up pool. The 50m pool is 3 metres deep, like the one in the Beijing National Aquatics Center, in order to be fast. Its floor can be moved to reduce the depth. There are also moveable booms that allow its size to be changed. The diving pool has platform boards at heights of 3m, 5m, 7.5m and 10m and three 3m springboards. For the television coverage of the Olympics, the pools are also equipped with innovative cameras in order to present the action from multiple angles.
Because the centre was designed before the Olympic bid was completed, the spectator wings were not part of the original design. They were later added to fit the estimated audience."
