I've given this Winter shot of the Cherwell as it passes through the University Park the slightest of sepia tints, afterall everyone knows yellow snow is best avoided.....

During the four day stay in Barcelona we spent a day at nearby Montserrat. A short train ride and a 5 minute cable car journey up through the clouds and we were greeted by this spectacular sight.
From Wikipedia : "Montserrat is a mountain near Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is the site of a Benedictine abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, which hosts the Virgin of Montserrat sanctuary and which is identified by some with the location of the Holy Grail in Arthurian myth.
"Montserrat" literally means "jagged (serrated) mountain" in Catalan. It describes the peculiar aspect of the rock formation, which is visible from a great distance. The mountain is composed of strikingly pink conglomerate, a form of sedimentary rock, popular with climbers. The Caribbean island of Montserrat is named after the mountain."

The South Oxfordshire landscape isn't the most spectacular we have in the UK but lit by the early evening sunshine it still looked quite beautiful from a Balloon, even the telegraph poles adding a certain something.
