This out of focus, but still very recognisable, Eiffel Tower shot was taken through a glass panel entirely covered in the word 'Peace' written in many different languages. The monument is called Le mur de la paix (the peace wall), and It was designed by Clara Halter and Architect Jean-Michel Wilmotte. Interestingly, and like the Eiffel Tower itself, the monument was only meant to be located on the Champ de Mars temporarily, then it was be moved elsewhere.

I wasn't happy with the lack of differentation between the pigeons and the blurred background in yesterdays upload so I've blurred the background more and converted to sepia to avoid being distracted by the more colourful background. I'm a lot happier with this now.

I think maybe I prefer the toned version of this shot of the Eiffel Tower from the steps of the Place du Trocadero. I've been able to burn the sky in and add a bit more contrast, creating a more dramatic shot in some ways.

I've had a few days of quite stylised post-production so I thought it would be refreshing to get back to a simpler style for this shot of the Eiffel Tower from the Place du Trocadero. Not that I'd pretend this is straight out of the camera, I've warmed the colours up a bit, corrected the verticals, cropped to a square and removed a fair bit of litter with a wave of the Photoshop Fairies Magic wand.
