Apologies to a couple of my London Flickr Contacts who I never quite manage to meet up with despite several trips to London. This shot of the astonishing One New Change building by Jean Nouvel was taken recently but I was visiting with my wife for our tenth anniversary so photography wasn't the primary aim of the trip.
With regards the building, 'astonishing' is probably the best word to describe it as whilst I don't think it's particularly beautiful is is a very bold addition to the city particularly given it's right next to St Pauls Cathedral. It's worth a visit for this framed shot of this Cathedral and also for the wonderful roof terrace that's open to the public (thanks must go to David Bank for alerting me to it)

This shot of St Pauls was taken from the roof terrace of the Jean Novel designed One New Change in London. It's a good demonstration as to how a fisheye lens works less well when the subject isn't symmetrical, as can be seen here from the pinnacle on the dome of St Pauls Cathedral.
I still really like the shot though........

Due to the tight context and planting etc it was quite hard to get some good shots showing the whole Quai Branly Museum, it was much easier to shoot details such as this sun-shading, strikingly lit from reflected light from below.

You enter the Arab World Institue by passing through this entrance structure, it must be 4m high and some of the side passages are only about 600mm wide, I could barely squeeze down them (obviously due to my large camera bag....)
