The rooms in the Glasgow CitizenM hotel may not be large but they are perfectly formed. For not much more than the price of a Travelodge you can have that designer boutique feel, they did a great cooked breakfast too.
I took a few photos as they had a great lighting system where the obscured glass shower pod formed the main light in the room, it's colour could be controlled by a colour wheel on a remote control.

This shot gives a more realistic impression of the Water slide pool at the Sunrise Resort near Side. Unlike some hotels we've stayed at in the past there was always sun loungers available at the pools, a table in the restaurant etc. Whether that'd be different in the Summer holidays is hard to say....

Back to my recent family holiday to Turkey and before I upload anything more exotic I thought I'd upload a few more of the spiral stair in our hotel. Taken from the ground floor this shot includes this warmer band of colour which I can't really make my mind up about whether I like or not.

When I was making this 'double flipped' image it occurred to me that at least with this one the result (sort of) suits the geometric nature of the Bella Sky Hotel by 3XN Architects.

If you're looking for a hotel in London you could do a lot worse than staying at the Hoxton Hotel. It prides it's as a Boutique Hotel without the Boutique Hotel prices but I think it's only fair to say the rooms are no bigger than your average Travelodge room (but then it was about the same size as the five star hotel we stayed at for our second night, more about that later). They operate a budget airline style pricing system so if you book a long way ahead rooms are only about £50-60, nearer to the date you want to stay they can be nearly £200.....
Before booking the location put me off a bit but in reality it's only a short tube ride from the centre of town, besides Hoxton and Shoreditch are full of interesting restaurants, galleries etc.
