For me the most amazing thing about the view from the top of St Pauls Cathedral was, particularly given the global economic slowdown, the number of cranes all over the city of London (not that I saw many move much during my time up there).

The Red Arrows at the Bristol Balloon Fiesta, or to be more accurate, from the other side of the Clifton Suspension Bridge. I've added a bit of drama to this in the processing to make up for the less than perfect conditions.

From Wikipedia : "The Red Arrows, officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, is the aerobatics display team of the Royal Air Force, based at RAF Scampton, Lincolnshire, UK (soon to be RAF Waddington). They were formed in late 1964 as an all-RAF team, replacing a number of unofficial teams that had been sponsored by RAF commands.

The Red Arrows badge shows the aircraft in their trademark diamond nine formation, with the motto Éclat, meaning "brilliance" or "excellence".

It would have good to get a bit closer (these were taken with my 300mm zoom) but I'm fairly pleased with the results.

Nearby Mellieha Bay may be the longest beach but for me Anchor Bay was the most beautiful bay in Malta for it's clear water and lack of development, other than the picturesque Popeye Village tourist attraction.
