A traditional timber church at Skansen Folk Park framed by the archway of a gate. If you're in Stockholm I'd recommend a visit, particularly if like me you enjoy photographing colourful old buildings.

Skansen Open Air Museum proved to be a great escape from the city (not that Stockholm is Tokyo exactly) and provided an opportunity to see a bit of rural Sweden in an afternoon.
From Wikipedia : "Skansen is the first open air museum and zoo in Sweden and is located on the island Djurgården in Stockholm, Sweden. It was founded in 1891 by Artur Hazelius (1833-1901) to show the way of life in the different parts of Sweden before the industrial era...
Skansen attracts more than 1.3 million visitors each year. The many exhibits over the 75 acre (300,000 m²) site include a full replica of an average 19th-century town, in which craftsmen in traditional dress such as tanners, shoemakers, silversmiths, bakers and glass-blowers demonstrate their skills in period surroundings. There is even a small patch growing tobacco used for the making of cigarettes. There is also an open-air zoo containing a wide range of Scandinavian animals including the bison, brown bear, moose, grey seal, lynx, otter, red fox, reindeer, wolf, and wolverine (as well as some non- Scandinavian animals due to their popularity). There are also farmsteads where rare breeds of farm animals can be seen."

There's something about Stockholms City Hall, particularly in silhouette, that reminds me of 'Lord of the Rings'. The partly frozen sea in the foreground maybe adds to that feeling.

It stands on the eastern tip of Kungsholmen island, next to Riddarfjärden's northern shore and facing the islands of Riddarholmen and Södermalm. It houses offices and conference rooms as well as ceremonial halls, and the luxury restaurant Stadshuskällaren. It is the venue of the Nobel Prize banquet and one of Stockholm's major tourist attractions."

I remember thinking when I took this that it was one of my favourites of the trip, particularly with the shadows and little moon acting as a full stop in the sky. When I had the film developed I was then really surprised to see that the bench was incomplete which sort of ruined it for me. It was a good lesson in looking at the whole frame carefully before pressing the shutter.
