It was a bit windy so I thought I'd experiment using shutter speeds as low as I couple handhold, the EXIF has been stripped from the shot but from memory it was about an 1/8th of a second.

In the town of Alkmaar, near Amsterdam, they have a Cheese Market in the town Square. It was great fun, and an opportunity to try a spot of panning.
Taken on an OBSU Focus trip to Amsterdam.
More info from Wikipedia : 'Alkmaar's cheese market at the Waagplein, is one of the country's most popular tourist attractions. The cheese market traditionally takes place on the first Friday in April and the last market of the season is the first Friday in September. Every Friday morning (10.00-12.30 a.m.) the Waagplein is the backdrop for this traditional cheesemarket. After the old fashion way of the hand clap, traders and carriers will weigh the cheeses. It is one of only four traditional Dutch cheese markets still in existence. The traditional fare of this cheese market are those cheeses made in the local area, as opposed to the well-known brands of Dutch cheeses, i.e. Edam cheese and Gouda cheese. It is not actually possible to buy cheese at the market itself, which is really only a demonstration of how this merchants' market operated in times gone by. However, the demonstration, which takes place in front of the medieval weighing house, is surrounded by many specialized stalls where it is possible to buy all kinds of cheese (and non-cheese) related products.'

Not the sharpest of Panning shots but I love the expression on Laurens face as she whizzes down the water slide, that and the droplets of water spraying up off of her feet.

I tried a few panning shots, this is probably the best one. The movement created by the 1/10 second exposure is also quite good for hiding noise from the ISO 800.

I interupt the Brighton uploads to bring you the exciting news that I've developed a type of new light bulb which does not need electricity thereby solving the Worlds energy crisis.... but how have I done it ?
From Wikipedia : "April Fools' Day or All Fools' Day is a holiday celebrated in various countries on April 1. The day is marked by the commission of hoaxes and other practical jokes of varying sophistication on friends, family members, enemies, and neighbors, or sending them on a fool's errand, the aim of which is to embarrass the gullible. Traditionally, in some countries, such as the UK, Australia, and South Africa the jokes only last until noon, and someone who plays a trick after noon is called an "April Fool". Elsewhere, such as in France, Ireland, Italy, South Korea, Japan, Russia, The Netherlands, Brazil, and the U.S., the jokes last all day. The earliest recorded association between April 1 and foolishness can be found in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales (1392)."
