I do love my 'Dawn raids'. To have a city like Washington all to myself, if only for a few hours, can be magical.

This shot of the Lincoln Memorial was taken before dawn, hence the cool colours of the stone compared to the lighting of Lincoln himself. I took a few simlar to this one, but this was my favourite due to the positioning of the silhouetted figures within the frame (including another photographer).
Taken a while ago for a series of photos I did showing a day in the life of Washington DCs Lincoln Memorial. I still think, as a series of images, they're amongst the best I've ever taken.
