I must admit I take more pleasure in taking this type of 'something from nothing' shot than I do photographing some famous landmark (it's just a lot less likely I'll make any money from it).

It taken nearly two years to find Retailers willing to fill the Marriots Walk development in Witney but it looks like finally the last units are being filled and soon we'll have Pizza Express filling he Unit opposite Cineworld that had been lined up for Starbucks originally.

Before I took these photos I'd never really noticed how the trees along Church Green in Witney seem to alternate in height. I'm not sure if this is a natural phenomenon which allows them to get more light or whether it's just result of intermediate trees being inserted at a later date.

Taken pre-digital and only re-discovered recently when I was asked if I had any photos of Witney. Whilst I like this view of Church Green, and the sky was certainly dramatic, I was never really very happy about the burnt yellow grass in the orginal shot (similar to the shot below). Here I've tweaked it slightly to make it considerably more lush.
