This versions for Chris Blizzard who agreed with me a square crop would work. I'd like to change the composition to get rid of the Institute itself but am in two minds as that's the only clue as to the location of the shot. I suppose that's the difference between Architectural Photography and just trying to get the best image possible from a photographic point of view.

Whilst pondering where to go next in the virtual world I thought I'd upload this shot taken at the Olympic Stadium in Athens two years ago which I've recently licensed for use on a book cover ('Olympic Cities', out later this year). A similar shot I uploaded at the time has gone on to become my third most viewed photo.

For this shot of the Menara Airport in Marrakesh I've taken the original shot, shown below, cropped to a square, flipped it vertically, converted to a blue tinted mono and added a bit of diffusion to soften the light. There's a further step, I'll upload it later today, regular visitors to my photostream may well be able to guess what that'll be.......

This shot of the Zaha Hadid designed Roca Gallery in London was taken yesterday whilst attending the Architects Eye Photographic Competition Awards night. I was very pleased to discover one of my two short-listed prints won me the 'Architecture and People' category (seen below). Now I just have to decide which European city I've like to visit for a long weekend trip as part of my prize.

Campo Volantin footbridge, Bilbao at dusk.
From Wikipedia : "The Zubizuri (Basque for "white bridge"), also called the Campo Volantin Bridge or Puente del Campo Volantin, is a tied arch footbridge across the Nervion River in Bilbao, Spain. Designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, the bridge links the Campo Volantin right bank and Uribitarte left bank of the river.
Opened in 1997, the bridge's unusual design consists of a curved walkway which is supported by steel suspension cables from an overhead arch. The structure of the bridge is painted white and the bridge deck consists of translucent glass bricks. Access ramps and stairways are located on both banks.
The Zubizuri offers pedestrians a convenient route from hotels to the nearby Bilbao Guggenheim Museum."
