For those who appreciate my Architectural images you may be interested to know I've an eight page Interview / Portfolio in this months Advanced Photographer Magazine, Issue 36 in the shops now. Whilst they ran a similar feature two years ago on my use of Polarisers I'm just as excited to be featured again in one of my favourite magazines as I was then.

A couple of people have pointed out they can't get the magazine in their Country, if the Magazine say it's okay I'll upload high resolution versions of the pages once next months magazine is out, try checking back in a few weeks time.

More of my published images here : www.flickr.com/photos/darrellg/sets/72157602274896384

Seen (somewhat bizarrely) in Explore, #440, 02/10/13

Update 1/11/13 : The next issue is out now so I'm uploading the higher resolution pages for those that haven't had a chance to read the article, click the notes on the image above to access the individual pages.

I have to admit in reality there's only one Krystallen building by Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects, I've flipped this to create a gateway. In a difference to the previously uploaded photos where I've used this technique here I've introduced a few subtle differences to try and fool the viewer, see if you can spot them all.......

I am by no stretch of the imagination a 'Trainspotter' but I've been to Didcot Railway Centre a couple of times as it's a great place for photos. I'm aware that not everyone os interested in rust and peeling paint (and some shiny restored paintwork) so I've just uploaded a few of my favourites along with this shot of Marie and Lauren silhouetted in old Engine Shed. Also pictured is Laurens 'pony', sadly since lost (and replaced with an exact replacement twice the size).

From Wikipedia : "Didcot Railway Centre, located in the town of Didcot in the English county of Oxfordshire, is based around the site of an old engine shed which became redundant due to the nationalisation of the UK railways, as well as the gradual switch from steam to diesel power."

Having seen some great shots by some of my Contacts of this Future Systems building at 367 Oxford Street I know there's a lot of potential but every time I've walked past the building is in shade. I liked this one though as the chaotic composition seemed to reflect it's Oxford St context.

Classic 'Rule of thirds' demonstration. Given his obsession with the grid I'd like to think the Architect Richard Meier would like this shot if he were to see it.

Click here shots of Richard Meier buildings from around the World : www.flickr.com/photos/darrellg/albums/72157602126379216

From Wikipedia : "Meier embraced the difficult task of creating a building that would ultimately display a variety of contemporary artworks that were unknown to him at the time of design. The choice to build the museum in the Plaça dels Ángels is consistent with Meier’s vision to situate the building amongst some of Barcelona’s oldest streets and buildings, in addition to revamping the public space of the Raval.

After the completion of the $35 million construction, local media referred to the museum as “the pearl” amongst the old architecture and narrow streets just a few blocks from Gothic center of Barcelona. The building’s architectural style has strong references to Modernism. The large (120 by 35 meters) white building has much of its southern elevation glazed, providing the visitor with views across the plaza, and allowing for an abundance of natural light to illuminate the interior galleries. The museum has three main galleries, which can be subdivided, as well as five smaller galleries, one of which is in a tower."
