Pictures of the the Vanarama National League North clash between Gloucester City & Darlington at New Meadow Park that ended in a 2-2 draw

Both sides settled for a point after Darlington fought back twice in the second half. It was a game played in blustery conditions and in the second half Darlo manager Alun Armstrong was sent off and his assistant Darren Holloway shown a yellow by the referee who missed fouls on Darlington players in the build up to both Gloucester goals, made some "odd" decisions throughout and ruled out a Darlo winner in Clive Thomas style at the full time whistle!

Darlo played with the wind in the first half and made but wasted several good chances to take the lead.

Gloucester took the lead three minutes after half-time when McClure scored with a low left foot shot but Darlo were level five minutes later, when Ellis headed in a Rivers corner, his first goal for the club. However, Gloucester regained the lead on 63 minutes. Mondal went down with a head injury from a challenge, but the referee allowed play to continue, and Lucas Tomlinson slotted into the bottom corner. Quakers levelled with ten minutes left when Rivers crossed for O’Neill to fire in a low finish.

On 22 July 2007, in UK-wide floods, the stadium flooded and by the following morning the water was over 8 feet (2.4 m) deep. The entire pitch was swamped with the clubhouse, kitchen facilities, changing rooms and shop all being flooded. Due to previous flooding incidents, the club had been unable to obtain insurance so was now faced with a large clean-up bill. The club started a fund to pay for this appealing to fans for donations. Meadow Park had been in ruin since this date, with the club playing at various other grounds instead.

The club finally moved back to New Meadow Park in December 2020. To safeguard the renovated stadium from flooding in the future, the building works included raising the surface level of the pitch, stands and clubhouse 3.5 metres from the level of the old Meadow Park and the old terraces can be seen from the away end
