Alty opended the scoring after James Lawrie looped a header over the visiting keeper. Darlo hit back on 80 minutes when Terry Galbraith whipped in a right hand corner and skipper Burgess, steaming in, powered in an unmarked bullett header into the top corner of the net.

Quakers then trioed to throgh away a well earned point after conceeding a silly penalty on 890 minutes whwn Jameson chopped down Richman. Moult made no mistake fomr the spot and host must have through they had secured all 3 points.

It was not to be as Darlington were awarded a penalty of their own in the fifth minute of stoppage time when Burgess was pushed in the area, the ref pointed to the spot, and Galbraith sent the keeper the wrong way from the spot for the equaliser. It looked soft but we didnt complain.

Moments later the refferee missed a stonewall penalty for Darlington but there was no way he would give us another so late in the game!
