Darlington won the game with a comprehensive 5-1 victory to move back second in the league.
Darlo took the lead on 17 minutes through a close range Cartman header form a corner before doubling the lead through Thompson who burst through and shot low across the keeper into the net.
The points were secured Mickleover thanks to a 10 minute second half hat trick, including an acrobatic volley, from new signing Lee Gaskell while the home side netted a consolation goal on 65 minutes.
The ground was an odd one having only 2 and a half stands and a cricket pitch running down one side. That said the club was fantastically welcoming, did real ale in the bar and a fantastic roast pork sandwich!
