Smallbrook Junction is the terminus of the 5 mile long IoW steam railway and provides the interchange between the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and the national network service on the Island line. (At present there is no physical connection)
It is a very unusual because station becuase it has no road or foot access for the public but exists purely to provide a connection between two rail systems. It is only open when the IoW steam railway is running.
Island Line trains are operated by SWT using converted 1938 London Underground stock!
