I've been stalking these in the reeds up to my chest in water but they are very difficult to get a clear shot of!

Fairly common around the lake edges and their song is lovely!

Noisey buggers! They were all breeding in a ditch next to the lake and I could hear them from the campervan at night when we were 150m away!

Not exactly a clear shot but I was standing in the water with just my head and arms (and camera obviously!) out of the water focusing on the marsh frogs when this guy came out to sun himself.

It was only when the shutter went that he reaslised I wasn't just another bit of bush that had fallen in the ditch!

Very tough to get a clear shot of!

I was up to my chest in the water to get close - had great fun stalking these birds and they seemed to be common in the extensive reeds that surround areas of the lake.
