Shot from the location called 'Le Maido' (elevation 2000 meters) in Reunion Island.
The light below the sea of clouds is coming from the coastal city of Saint Paul. Thanks to that sea of clouds, it prevents light pollution to shoot the Milky Way.

Piton de l'Eau, Reunion Island.
A beautiful milky way over a little pond surrounded by white flowers, which used to be a volcano crater. In the far end slightly on the right, you can see a mountain above the sea of clouds, this is the highest summit (3070 meters) of the island, the 'Piton des Neiges'.

When I am in Reunion Island, I usually shoot a lot from this place, because this is the closest good sunset spot from where I live, and there are also a lot of possible compositions.
When I shoot seascapes, I always use NiSi filters, for this one I stacked a CPL, GND16 and ND64

As they called the south coast of Reunion Island. A very beautiful and rugged coastline.
