An old shot from my Mauritius trip earlier this year in May. Yes, this is the private swimming pool of a friend of mine who has an absolute sumptuous property.
I am definitely not very active on flickr these days: too much heat in Dubai hence very demotivating to go out shooting. I did not get good shots in Laos because of the rainy (monsoon) weather conditions, that's why I've only posted one shot of Laos so far.
I hope all is well with you my friends and I am now on the way to (slowly) catch up with your streams!

Langevin River, Reunion Island.
The light was very harsh (it was almost noon), so I had to use Digital Blending with 7 exposures to get a decent lighting. I used a ND400 filter for the water, which gave me a shutter speed of 76 seconds at f/22.

3 exposures Digital Blending + Vertorama. As always now, most of the processing done in Adobe Camera Raw. My wife's shot is taken with her Panasonic Point & Shoot DMC-TZ2.

Hello my Friends, I am back from my short vacation to Mauritius & Reunion. What you see here is the caldera of Reunion's still active volcano (Piton de la Fournaise). The last eruption was in September 2008.
The small crater visible here is called 'Formica Leo', named to it resemblance with the holes of the ants lions. The base measures about 75 metres, and the height 20 metres. The volcano itself is not visible here, I will post later a shot from a different point of view.
