The wind was whipping up the water in the canal basin. This gave me the chance to try out a long exposure and it seems to have worked well. Lots of reaction on social media.

Always want to do this correctly and tend to work it out roughly when taking the pictures. I focussed on the blue boat and then recomposed the picture. I believe I have the lady tendering her garden in fairly good focus with similar detail to the front boat.
