The great library (there are two more rooms and a corridor, and storerooms (plural) with books too) at the Swedish Institute in Rome. If you are there as a researcher you get assigned your own desk for the whole stay (mine is the one in the front row, to the left).
The institute is called Istituto Svedese di studi classici a Roma in Italian - which sums it up very well. It is for academic studies in art, history and archaeology of Antiquity, with both a well filled library and work space for archaeologists - and rooms available for for those there doing research. I was staying there both to do my own work and working as a secretary for my father-in-law for a few weeks.

The municipality of Nogarole Rocca, just south of Verona, is named after this castle. This form of fortification is typical of Italy and is actually called rocca in English too. This one was came into the historical documents in the early 14th century when it was given to Giacomo Dal Verme when he married Diamante de Nogarola and became lord of the place. During the 600 years since then, the castle changed hand a great many times. The last private owner was a woman who at her death donated the place to the city of Verona, in 1973. She wanted the place to be used for 'spastic' children. Verona chose not to do so (considering the state of the place, even if not taking the last 50 years of decay into account, it would probably have cost a fortune to make this place functional for children in any way, shape or form, I am not surprised). The castle is blocked for visitors, but you can visit the surrounding garden.
