Cabinet card of a couple taken in Chicago - but I bought it in Sweden so it is most likely a case of immigrant Swedes. Date most likely last years of the 1890s.

Sigrid Andersson from Borgholm, Öland (it's written on the back) in traditional costume. Photo dating to around 1900 when it was quite popular to go to the photographer and getting your portrait taken wearing a traditional costume (not always from the region you were actually living in) - you didn't even have to have your own, you could borrow at the photographer!

The photo is undated, but the photographer Budtz Müller, has listed all his rewards on the back of the photo (of which there are many) and the latest is from 1866 - which makes it likely that this photo is late 1860's.
