One of the older houses in the area, full of holiday cottages - this one, back in the day and long before my time, actually belonged to my grandfather and my dad spent a lot of time here when he was young. It was great to see the place that I had heard so much about, in person.
In Norwegian this is known as a hytte - it is not a permanent residence, but is a home away from home, a place to get away to, to relax in and get close to nature (which actually means that the translation to cottage isn't quite spot on, but English doesn't have a perfect translation for the word).
