While searching for photo opportunities at Stithains Lake early one morning, I spotted this lone boat amidst the mist.
By the time I got into position at the water's edge, a cormorant perched itself on the front of the boat as a little bonus!
Capturing a pleasing shot wasn't easy. I wanted to make the most of the rising sun while capturing the bird in a pleasing pose. But the bird kept moving - and as the boat was slowly moving in the water, I had to keep repositioning and recomposing.
