St Dunstan in the East was a Gothic revival church, designed by Sir Christopher Wren and opened in 1698. There has been a church here since about 1100 with additions over the centuries but that was severely damaged during the Great Fire in 1666 thus rebuilt. It was mostly destroyed during the blitz in WW2 and the ruins are now a public garden.
