The 'newly' LORAM painted 37 418 "An Comunn Gaidhealach" sits at Platform 5, London Victoria. Making a different sight from the usual Southeastern EMUs here, even regular commuters stopped to take a picture. Inspection Saloon Caroline is on the back. This combination sat here for about 45 minutes before 'reversing' out back to Wandsworth Road to take the West London Line.

Inspection Saloon 975025 Caroline takes a rest under the roof of London Victoria Station. At the front at the stops is LORAM Painted 37 418. The staff on board the saloon were tucking into lunch as people were getting pictures of this unique coach. Even regular commuters were stopping to have a look.

975025 Caroline has an interesting history having been used as a VIP Coach in her past. She has transported such people as the Prince and Princess of Wales (Charles and Diana) on the first leg of their honeymoon and even Pope John Paul II went for a ride in her when he visited the UK in 1982. Another claim to fame was that she was the first standard gauge train to enter the Channel Tunnel from the UK end. And if the narrow body looks familiar it's because she's been converted from a Class 203 'Hastings' DEMU Coach.

The 'newly' LORAM painted 37 418 "An Comunn Gaidhealach" speeds through Wandsworth Road with Inspection Saloon 'Caroline' in tow. A former large logo Highland 37, this machine has been leased until 2026 by engineering firm LORAM from its owners to work with Caroline. This was the second of a two day stint of 37 418 working with Caroline around London, Kent and the Southeast and a few people were out to photograph it. Interestingly, Caroline was being towed instead of being pushed, pretty much most of the time it seemed. After getting a heads up on the SE Railways Flickr group about this move, I took the day off work for it. And thanks to 37 418 and Caroline having a long layover at London Victoria, I was able to photograph it in three different locations within the space of about an hour and a half. It was just a shame the weather didn't cooperate.

DB 66 023 'Celebrating The Kings Coronation' Rolls Through Wandsworth Road on an Aggregate's train. The Union Jack and Royal seal can just be seen on the side. I'd seen it come through Clapham Junction on my arrival there and my Overground service on the South London Line passed it on the myriad of lines around Clapham. Not the best shot but an Overground 378 can just be seen creeping into view at the bottom ruining a wider perspective. I'd seen this loco running around on the Neasden spoil train so it was good to finally get some record of it.

Sarratt Mill House, Sarratt. The mill was a paper mill until from 1744-1871 and then a corn mill and was the property of the Duke of Bedford. The house is red brick built in the 18th, extended 19th and, altered 20th. It's Grade II listed and sits in some very nice grounds including a tennis court and swimming pool. Notice the three people and a dog at the top of the hill behind the house. This is Sarratt proper where you can find the Church and 'The Cock Inn' pub.
