A trip around the Carousel Bar in the Hotel Monteleone, which is in the French Quarter in New Orleans. The bar was installed in 1949 and rotates at a rate of one revolution every 15 minutes. I took out the cellphone and did a time-lapse as the bar spun around, showing off the busy bartenders rushing around making and serving drinks.

I went out to this old church three times to try to get a picture of star trails. This was on the first visit, when some clouds moved in and covered up the stars. So instead of star trails here is a short timelapse video, compiled from the 200 or so pictures taken there over the course of two hours.

The old church is south of the small town of Scott, Arkansas.

Another quick video from the recent U2 concert in Norman, Oklahoma.

I was using a borrowed camera, which was able to shoot video. So I tried to catch some video of the band during a few songs. I wish I had made these videos longer, but the act of recording video (and I guess the cold weather) meant that it ate up serious battery life. I actually ended up using two batteries during the concert, and was glad that my friend gave me the main and back-up batteries for her camera (thanks Jenny!).

This was shot while the band performed "Ultraviolet (Light My Way),) a song from Achtung Baby. It was after the last encore, right at the end of the concert. Bono came out with a jacket that was embedded with red lazers, which would shine out into the Oklahoma night. The effect was a bit lost, mostly because they pumped out a bunch of smoke that would better reflect the light from the lazers. But there was a strong wind that night, which blew the smoke away from the stage and hurt the effect of the lazer jacket.

But this was recorded at the U2 concert in Norman, OK, on October 18, 2009.
