She painted it in 1923, when she was 17. She learnt it in school, which shows how education was back in those days: far superior not only to present day education in Romania, but also to Communist Romania's education system that we look up to today.
Today (2015) this photo holds special value to me because after I took it (in 2010) my mother thought it fit to throw the painting away without even letting me know. So this is the only image I have left of an object which is gone.

I "inherited" these from the previous inhabitant of my flat - who is gone now, God rest her sole. I have no idea who the author is, but I love it.
