Pink oleander bushes are flowering in my yard now. These ruffled pink flowers are just magnificent and it's a cheery view to see when I get up in the mornings. These bushes are at least 12 to 20 feet and maybe more tall. With my other camera I'd could not get the detail, but the Z5 zooms to 12x optical, whoopee! See the previous two images for a better view of these blooms with more detail.

"Boog" belongs to Kris and Bill, and his name came from "Big Old Orange Guy". A stray who came to stay. But I'd rather friends would look at my concertina wire here, although I do figure that cats are far more popular subjects, ha ha!
Bill reports recently that Boog just died, hopefully of natural causes. Boog was a good ole boy and is missed. Bill has got a photo he took of Boog a few months ago, filling up the bathroom sink as his sleeping place. Take a look at it here.

Had the irrigation delivery yesterday about 5:30 pm and a slew of grackles flew in to wade in the temporary lake in my backyard. Could not see what they were getting, but a large view of the images showed their successful catches of juicy, fat worms. Look at the large images from the two photos previous, to see the prize. These three were taken as small crops from the Z5 zoom camera.
