One of the oldest church locations in Dachau county, a church at this location is first mentioned in AD 829.
The current building was erected around AD 1450 in gothic style. After the Thirty Years' War the destroyed interior was renovated in baroque style.

The church of St Georg is located on a hill above the town. The town of Hebertshausen was first mentioned around AD 783-789 (as a "gift" from one cleric to another!). The church was probably built in the late 13th century, the steeple dates to AD 1300. The interior was redesigned in the late 20th century.
