This half-timbered house, dated back to about AD 1695, is the birthplace of automobile pioneer Gottlieb Daimler.

Gottlieb Daimler was born here on 17 March 1834. On the occasion of Damler's 175th birthday the building was acquired by Daimler Benz in 1979, restored to its original appearance, and serves now as an exhibition and meeting place of the Daimler AG.
