St. Martin church in Sindelfingen is one of the oldest churches in Baden-Württemberg.

Construction was begun in 1080, on the site of a predecessor church that is presumed to be dated back to 700. St. Martin was dedicated already on July 4th 1083, though final completion took until 1132.

The church is built as a classic basilica in Romanesque style, with influence from the Lombardy in Italy. For example: the steeple is in Italian "Campanile" style as a free standing clock tower.
