The first weir in this place was built around 1364, then it was expanded by adding steps in the 18th, 19th and 20th century.
The weir was damaged by high water several times, finally it was rebuilt to its curent appearance from 1994 to 1996.

An over 180° panorama of the Schrannenplatz in the town of Erding. The red building on the left is the Schrannenhalle, built 1866 in gothic revival style. A Schranne in southern Germany is a storage and trading place for grains, mostly wheat, barley and rye.

A panoramic view of Schloss Blutenburg (Blutenburg Castle). The castle was first mentioned in 1432 though it's origins reach back to a moated castle from the 13th century.
In the years 1438–39 Duke Albert III, Duke of Bavaria rebuild the castle as a hunting-lodge.
Nowadays it houses the International Youth Library (Internationale Jugendbibliothek) and the library of the Michael Ende Museum.

In the center is Schloss Lustheim, a small palace building in the Schlosspark Schließheim that was built in 1684 for the wedding of Kurfürst Max Emanuel with the Austrian princess Maria Antonia.
