This is the rear side of a Seagull ST1901 chronograph watch movement.
As this is a handwound movement, there is no automatic winding mechanism hiding the inner workings.

Here it is with one of the watches it is built into.

Seagull ST1901 - a column wheel chronograph watch movement.

Chronograph gear - ambient light (long exposure) and reduced flash make it look more speedy than it really is. The larger rotating wheel is the continuous seconds wheel - it's actual speed is 1 turn per minute (1 RPM).

Lower left is the balance - it swings back and forth at a frequency of 21,600 bph (beats per hour).

The slowly moving wheel center bottom is the minutes wheel - it's speed is 1 turn per hour.
