As seen from the western Isar bank. Other day, other weather, other camera compared to a previous upload.

The weir was completed in 1924. It's purpose is to raise the water level of the Isar river by 6 m and divert most of the water into the Mittlere-Isar-Kanal, which on it's lenght of 64 km supplies in total 7 run-of-the-river power stations with water.

This is the upstream side - downstream of the weir is a popular bathing place.
