The Alpine Pond in Skyline Ridge Open Space Preserve was constructed in the 1950s to provide water for the ranching and agriculture operations.
From this pond, continue your hike on Ipiwa Trail, Sunny Jim Trail and Horseshoe Loop Trail. It's about 4.3 miles with 700 ft elevation gain.
